For those of you catching up on the plot, today follows the storyline of the last few days, but you might want to check out this comic, which explains the context of today's strip. Well, part of it. The girlfriend thing is an interesting thing to allude to, considering there aren't any stories that feature Erik with a girlfriend. Well, except for breaking up with one.
Hopefully this plot won't get too sitcome. Also, I had some difficulty getting the timing to work the way I wanted it in the last panel, too. It's actually bigger than the other panels to accommodate the text properly. I tried to make Erik's face as blank and open as possible in that last panel, so that it's clear he just sorta doesn't know what he's saying. It kinda worked.
Ha ha. Laura Beth's comic today is great. Although I think she could have fit "this" in panel three in only one line. You're wacky, LB. Also, that Billy the Bathroom Penguin is a smooth date. Oh, and Death of the Party rocks the post-break-up comic as well. Nice. Oh SHIT! Fischer's got a T-shirt!. $10, eh?
Oh, and that comic I said I would find a link to yesterday? Link don't work. I give up.
